| What
is SIA MemberAccess? |
| |
SIA MemberAccess
is created to achive the followings:
- cost effective paperless communication
between SIA and members
- to disseminate information to members
- easy information access from anywhere
around the world
- closed discussion among members

| Who
are allowed to Login? |
| |
SIA MemberAccess is only opened to
SIA Members. Each members will be given a free account.
The said Members includes Honorary,
Fellow, Corporate, Associate, Retired and Student Membership Types.

| What
information is need to Login? |
| |
The following information will be
needed from you when logging in:
- I/C No. - this number is usually
a 7-digit number (please remove the preceeding and subceeding
characters). However, there are cases where members have registered
(with SIA) using their Passport numbers.
- Password - for your first login,
a pre-assigned password will be emailed to you upon signing-up.
Thereafter, you may choose to change this password at anytime
convenient to you. The password has to be made-up of characters
[a-z] or [A-Z] and may include digits [0-9]. There should not
be any space within the password. The minimum length is 6 characters
and upto 30 characters max. Do also note that your password will
be case sensitive, ie arChitect is different from ArchitecT.

to sign-up a new account? |

Signing-up is easy:
- you MUST be a member of Singapore
Institute of Architects
- fill up the on-line registration
form. Note that all fields are necessary.
- Choice of Password - you'll be
given a randomly pre-assigned access password which will be emailed
to you. Upon logging in for the first time, you may then choose
to change the password.
- Our system should respond to you
immediately after you clicked the Sign-Up button. Your new account
details will be emailed to you.
- That's it. You new account is activated!

| How
to keep the site secure? |

As a member of SIA MemberAccess site,
you play an important role in keeping the site secured. Please note
the following precaution steps:
- never share your password
- never leave your PC unattended
when you are logged-in MemberAccess. Try activating your password
protected screen saver
- change your Login Password regularly
- exersice extra caution in choosing
your login password. Avoid using common names, telephone numbers,
etc.
The site's is built with some extra security
features such as Automatic Session Expiry, Con-current Login, Acces
Rights etc. However, it still depends on members to keep the site
secured. |
